Our Mission

Our goal is to build intelligent tools that have a tangible impact on real-world clinical challenges. We focus on exploring innovative ideas and developing Interpretable, Resource-Efficient, and Multi-modal/domain Machine Learning models to solve complex problems in Diagnostics, Bioinformatics, and Medical Imaging. We also aim to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to conduct meaningful research leveraging ML.

Core Research Areas

Bioinformatics & Genomics

Developing advanced methods for modern challenges in the field of bioinformatics and genomics, such as Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) prediction or Spatial Transcriptomics research.

Biomedical Imaging & Signals

Designing novel deep learning frameworks for medical image analysis and physiological signal-based diagnostics.

Explainable AI for Healthcare

Building interpretable models whose decisions can be understood and trusted by clinicians/biologists. We aim to validate our models using XAI techniques and uncover underlying biological signals.
